    • Why We Exist

Today's workspace is undergoing a radical transformation. Almost all the jobs are changing as people and workplaces must continually adapt to a constant flow of new technologies, new sources of information and new communication channels. Roughly two-thirds of the school kids today will end up doing work that has not been invented yet. Many jobs are disappearing as robots take over many tasks.

However, most schools around the world still place a higher priority on teaching students to follow instructions & rules and compete on grades. Many academically thriving students don't have the creative, emotional and social skills and innovative spirit to succeed in today's society.

Humans have spirituality, morals, ethics, aesthetics, philosophy and love. Our future competitiveness against robots lies in these human virtues. We believe our ability to care, love and imagine will allow us to continue to be masters of the robot and not their servants. For people to flourish in this rapidly changing society, the ability to think and act creatively and collaboratively is more important than ever before. Human values like compassion, curiosity, courage and calm have become the backbone of the continual change.

    • Inspire and Empower

Future Creator Camp brings teens (13 - 17 years old) and youth together to learn about the most impactful social innovations and take the first step to imagine and build their own future. It is a highly experiential, experimental and empowering learning journey, where we believe it is never too early to inspire our youth to dream, dare and do.

In August 2018, we brought 21 teens and 6 teachers from Thailand and Vietnam to Singapore with the generous scholarship support by Mistletoe, in collaboration with One Maker Group and Teach for Vietnam. They gathered in Singapore to explore some of Singapore’s iconic urban landscapes, engage in dialogue with entrepreneurs, creative professionals and social innovators to acquire deep knowledge and stories about the social innovations in sustainability, urban planning and human resource development.

Learning how Singapore has made use of innovation despite close-to-zero resource availability to move from a third world to first world country, they were challenged and inspired to apply Singapore solutions to adapt and imagine a solution for their own nations. They were taught the creative and technical skill to ideate and prototype the future that they imagine, through making use of maker facilities such as hand tools, 3D printers, electronics and micro-controllers.

Across the entire process, we facilitated the integration and cultivation of Gumption values in each learner and accelerate the personal development of 6C leadership (Calm, Compassion, Courage, Curiosity, Commitment, and Collaboration).

    • TESTIMONIAL

"At the end of the Future Creator Camp, I find myself change a lot, grow up a lot, and of all, I love myself more, I dream more, create more and freely live and fly with my passion. I learn a lot when working with my partner, it’s not only broadening horizons but also rising the team working skills and sharing skills. Though the time flies fast, I love the coding, the model I make with clay, I’m satisfied with myself as I’ve tried my best😍😍😍
Omg, this has been amazingly great!!!😍😍😍"

"At Future Creator Camp, I was touch by the way everybody teaches us. So much of caring. Every word, action, interaction, activity has a compassion in it. "

Thuyet Nguyen, teacher, participant from Viet Nam

"During the Future Creator Camp, I have learnt a lot about Singapore innovation, how can they manage their Human Resources which could be applied to develop Thai community. I also learned to be more courageous to show my ideas to another people in my group in English which I am not good at. So, I’m shy to speak. But then, I have realised that I should speak more to be good at it. That’s what I have learned from Future Creator Camp. I really appreciate being a part of this camp. Thank you all very much!! 😊😊

Apipat Angsanant, 15 yrs, participant from Thailand

"During the Future Creator Camp, we had so much fun discussing crazy ideas for our prototype...Our idea has gone wild and made us all laugh. I discovered as we all laughed, we came up with even more crazy idea's. When we talked about our crazy idea's with others, they also laughed and give us great suggestions. So I learned to enjoy my work and keep laughing! "

Wichet Phothiwisutwathee, Teacher and School Leader participant from Thailand
